Libya’s factions progress in central bank crisis talks
Libya’s rival factions have made progress in talks to resolve the central bank crisis and will continue discussions on September 12th, the UN Libya mission said on September 11th, according to Middle East Online and agencies.
Both legislative chambers agreed on principles for the interim period leading to the appointment of a new central bank governor and board.
The crisis began when western factions sought to remove the old governor, leading eastern factions to halt oil production.
