Sub-Saharan Africa immediately suffering from USAID cut

Sub-Saharan African countries are reeling at the suspension of the USAID programme by Donald Trump’s new administration.
According to the Washington Post on February 4th, in war-raved Sudan the fallout has been immediate, with food programs serving millions halted overnight.
One aid worker, who spoke anonymously for fear of facing disciplinary measures, said: “It means that over 8 million people in extreme levels of hunger could die of starvation. What’s next? What do we do?”
