Morocco: Israel beats France to become main defence partner

Morocco has bought artillery systems from Israeli arms company Elbit Systems, making the manufacturer the kingdom’s third biggest defense partner.
According to The Jerusalem Post on February 9th, Morocco purchased 36 ATMOS-2000 self-propelled artillery systems after an alleged fallout with French manufacturers over the poor delivery of the Caesar artillery systems and repeated technical failures.
The ATMOS (Autonomous Truck Mounted Howitzer System) is a truck mounted artillery system designed for rapid deployment and high manoeuvrability, according to Army Recognition.
