On March 2nd, humanitarian aid trucks on their way to Gaza were turned back to Egypt as Israel stopped the deliveries of food, water, and medical supplies.

According to AfricaNews, Egypt and international rights groups such as Doctors Without Borders and the UN have heavily condemned this move.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said: “Each party must implement its obligations. The use of aid as a weapon of collective punishment and starvation must not, cannot, or should not be allowed.”
