Egypt says stability of Yemen crucial for Red Sea security

The foreign minister of Egypt said on March 3rd that the stability of Yemen is important for security in the region and the Red Sea, according to Middle East Monitor via Anadolu.
Badr Abdelatty said this at a meeting in Cairo with Yemeni Foreign Minister Shaya Zindani. Abdelatty affirmed Egypt’s “firm support for Yemen’s unity, institutions, independence and territorial integrity,” said Cairo’s foreign ministry.
Yemen has faced conflict since the Ansar Allah militia took over the capital Sana’a and swathes of the country in 2014 from the internationally-recognised government.
