Turkiye calls for ceasefire in Sudan

Turkiye has called for a ceasefire amid escalations in the conflict in Sudan, according to Middle East Monitor on March 1st.

“We are deeply saddened by the ongoing escalation of the conflict in Sudan and the worsening humanitarian situation. We once again call on the parties for a ceasefire and peace to prevent further bloodshed,” Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oncu Keceli said on X.

Ankara have offered to provide all support necessary for the resolution of the conflict, including a peace and mediation role, as Sudan’s Civil War continues to decimate the lives of millions of people.
