12 Sudanese civilians killed by Rapid Support Forces attack

12 Sudanese civilians have been killed in attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in South Kordofan State.
According to Middle East Monitor on March 2nd, Sudan Doctors’ Network said via social media that hundreds of families have been displaced in the assault in the Khor Al-Dalib area. RSF rebels and their allied Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) used heavy weapons to attack residential areas in the southern Sudanese state.
The Sudanese army controls a majority of territory in South Kordofan State.
This came days after the army said that it successfully forced the RSF out of Sudan’s capital, Khartoum
Sudan’s recapture of Khartoum allowed the country to take control of the capital’s airport, security headquarters and several districts in the east and south for the first time since April 2023.
RSF controlled territory continues to grow ever smaller across several states, including Khartoum, Al-Jazira, White Nile, North Kordofan, Sennar and Blue Nile.
