Morocco’s Ministry of Higher Education and Huawei Morocco signed a strategic partnership at GITEX Africa 2025 in Marrakech.

According to Moroccan government-friendly Hespress, the agreement, signed by Minister Azeddine El Midaoui and Huawei Morocco GM David Li, focuses on developing digital talent through four key areas: training, research, innovation, and employability.

Building on previous collaborations that trained 16,000 students and created 1,800 job opportunities, the new initiative will provide university faculty training, doctoral research visits to Huawei R&D centres, entrepreneurship support, and digital workforce development.

The partnership aims to strengthen Morocco’s position in global tech ecosystems while supporting the country’s digital transformation goals.
