US and Ukraine sign a minerals agreement

The US and Ukraine have signed a minerals agreement providing the US with access to valuable land in the war-torn country.
According to Al Jazeera on April 30th, the two countries signed the agreement following months of tension, including the major public bust-up between the US President Trump, Vice President Vance and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
The US government have argued this provides an economic security guarantee, showing Russia that the US is now invested in the peace process.
