Tunisia’s opposition slams trial of political leaders

Tunisia’s National Salvation Front (NSFT) has denounced the trial of several high-profile political figures under the case dubbed “Conspiracy against the State 2” calling it an act of political repression, according to the Middle East Monitor on May 6th.
The trial includes prominent figures such as Rached Ghannouchi, Youssef Chahed, and Nadia Ukacha, who face charges of terrorism which the NSFT slammed as a distortion of the law.
It has urged civil and political forces to act against what it described as unjust tactics that targeted any opposition.
