Morocco seeks to expand Casablanca airport for World Cup

Morocco is looking into building a new terminal at Casablanca airport worth an estimated 1.6 billion dollars.
According to Reuters, the Moroccan airports agency ONDA is looking for bidders to take on the project, which is part of its 2030 expansion plan to prepare the airport for the 2030 World Cup.
The expansion would raise the capacity from 15 million to 35 million and be completed by 2029. To connect the new hub, a high-speed train will run from Kenitra to Dakhla and will have state-of-the-art service and technology.
