According to a news report by Medias24 published on 8th June, the Moroccan textile export sector is facing a notable slowdown, mainly due to European companies repaying Covid-related financial aid.

This repayment has tightened liquidity for these businesses, causing a 2.7% drop in textile exports during the first four months of 2025 as European demand decreases and companies become more cautious with purchasing and investment.

The situation highlights the broader challenges Moroccan exporters face amid shifting post-pandemic financial conditions in Europe, which significantly impact Morocco’s overall export market.
