The Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, located in the Occupied West Bank, was closed by Israeli forces on October 8th, the Middle East Eye via Wafa reported.

The closure is expected to last until the evening of October 9th, and was reportedly conducted for the security of Israeli settlers during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, which began on October 7th.

Along with the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, the Ibrahimi Mosque is considered to be a key holy place; both sites have faced closures, which violate the rights of Muslims to pray freely.

More to follow.
