Sudan: Conditions in El-Fasher worsen amid drone strikes
Intensifying drone strikes have worsened already dire conditions in the Sudanese city of El-Fasher, Maghrebi Week reported on October 27th.
The city’s residents are forced to seek refuge in underground bunkers as the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is accused of repeatedly launching drone strikes against shelters for displaced persons, clinics and mosques.
El-Fasher, the state capital of Sudan’s western Darfur region, has been under an RSF-imposed siege since May 2024; the group reportedly does not distinguish between civilian and military targets.
