Dubai World Trade Centre and real estate company unveil project
Real estate giant Emaar Properties and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) have revealed a new project – Terra Gardens, the most recent phase of the Expo Living masterplan for the urban development, Expo City Dubai, according to a press release from DWTC released on November 3rd.
The new project follows the progress of Terra Heights – the first project under the Expo Living masterplan.
Amer Al Farsi, Vice President of Real Estate Development at Dubai World Trade Centre, said: “Our joint venture with Emaar Properties continues to advance its long-term ambition and forward vision with the integration of Terra Gardens into the Expo Living masterplan.”
The Expo Living plan aims to bring together residential, retail, hospitality, and commercial infrastructure, spanning over 451,000 square metres.
Meanwhile, UAE-based real-estate companies have been expanding their portfolios to address the housing demand. Some developments include Aldar unveiling real estate projects worth $1 billion in Abu Dhabi, and Property Finder securing $250 million in a credit deal.
Terra Gardens would bring 560 residential units to the development, with plans to incorporate more than 3,500 homes in the masterplan.
The Terra Gardens project includes landscaped courtyards, jogging routes, yoga and meditation areas, sports courts, parks, and areas for children. The project would be situated next to the upcoming Expo Mall, which will provide retail and dining services to residents.
