Qatar’s emir denounces violence in Sudan

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani denounced the killings of civilians in Sudan, as reported by Africanews and AP on November 5th.

The remarks were made on November 4th in Doha, with the Emir saying: “I cannot conclude this address without pointing to our collective shock from the horror of the atrocities that have been committed in the city of El-Fashir in Sudan, and our deep condemnation of it.”

On November 3rd, the International Criminal Court (ICC) released a statement saying that violence committed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan may be war crimes.
