Kazakhstan announced on November 6th that it will be joining the Abraham Accords between Israel and Muslim countries, in what is deemed as a symbolic and diplomatic decision to legitimise Trump’s peace plan for the Middle East, according to France 24 via AFP.

The accords are meant to normalise relations between Israel and Muslim nations, and Kazakhstan which has had decades-long diplomatic ties with Israel, said that this decision signals their willingness to promote cooperation, respect, and stability in the region.

Kazakhstan deemed their decision to join the Abraham Accords as “natural and logical”, which might have been encouraged by US President Donald Trump who is struggling to garner wider support for his Middle East peace initiative.
