Occupied West Bank: Israeli settlers assault journalists
Israeli settlers have attacked journalists in the Occupied West Bank, the Middle East Eye via Reuters reported on November 10th.
The incident occurred near the village of Beita, and settlers were targeting activists and reporters with sticks, rocks and clubs. Two staff members of Reuters, a journalist and a security adviser were among those who sustained injuries; Al Jazeera cameraman Loay al-Saeed said masked men were running after him.
Raneen Sawafta, a photojournalist, said: “We were running away, and the terrain was mountainous. I was wearing the press vest, and [the settlers] were hitting me in the parts that were not covered by the vest.”
