The UN’s Migration Agency issued a stark warning with regards to relief efforts in North Darfur, Sudan, reported Africa News and agencies on 11th November.

Humanitarian aid is urgently needed after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) captured of the city of El-Fasher, leaving hundreds dead and tens of thousands fleeing on foot. Staff are struggling to access the area, aid convoys face insecurity and warehouses are nearly empty.

The situation on the ground is very dire, with thousands now seeking refuge in displacement camps in the city of Tawila, with scarce resources, hygiene facilities and access to water.
