Morocco: Weather warnings issued as cold snap continues
An orange-level weather warning has been released for several regions of Morocco by the country’s General Directorate of Meteorology, as cold weather continues to grip parts of the country, according to Africanews on 22nd December.
The northern provinces of Midelt, Sefrou, Taza, Boulemane and Ifrane are forecasted snowfall on 23rd December, including 20 to 40 centimetres in high-altitude areas. Figuig, Tinghir and Ouarzazate are expected to receive between 5 and 15 centimetres.
Parts of the country have experienced a cold spell over the last few days, with the government encouraging caution in affected areas.
