Mountainous regions of Morocco receive heavy snowfall
Morocco’s High Atlas region experienced significant snowfall on the weekend of 28th December, as a cold front brought wintery conditions to elevated areas throughout the country, according to Africanews.
The icy conditions have caused travel disruptions in some areas, including the Tizi n’Tichka pass between the cities of Marrakech and Ouarzazate.
Hazard warnings have been issued to drivers as snow crews attempt to clear affected passages.
