Morocco boosted investment in Africa in 2024, minister says
Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, revealed on 30th December that Moroccan investments in Africa reached 548 million USD (5 billion dirhams) in 2024, according to a report in Yabiladi.
During a question session at the House of Councillors, the minister announced that investment in the continent made up 20% of Morocco’s private and public investments, reflecting the country’s growing financial influence on its African partners.
Alaoui highlighted the importance of Morocco’s relationship with its neighbours, especially within the food security sector.
