Morocco: 67 health facilities now active
Morocco’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tehraoui, unveiled 67 newly regenerated health facilities across six regions of the country on January 16th, according to a report in Moroccan government-friendly Yabiladi.
The announcement is part of a government initiative to improve healthcare in the Kingdom, with plans outlined to transform and modernise 1,400 primary healthcare centres nationwide.
The unveiling comes after youth-led demonstrations swept through the country last year, calling for improved education and healthcare.
