The Ministry of Digital Transformation and Administration Modernisation in Mauritania released a digital portal that allows the public to view public expenditure, providing them with full transparency of the government, according to Tech Africa News on January 21st.
The portal is programmed to declare all expenses of Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Djay’s government since 2024, where users can access all information that covers expenditure at all levels, including central administrations, tender processes and more.
The portal is easily accessible in Arabic and French languages without previous registration. This is part of the Mauritanian government’s initiative to empower public participation and institutional oversight.
