Former British royal arrested on “misconduct” allegation

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on February 19th, according to The National and agencies on the same day.

In recent weeks, Mountbatten-Windsor has faced scrutiny over his alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier with reported links to Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad and British intelligence agency MI6.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright at Thames Valley Police said: “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.”
