Libya announces security boosts in the south during Ramadan
Libyan authorities held a security meeting to discuss measures for the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, with a focus on stability in the country’s south, Libya Review reported on February 17th.
The meeting reviewed a Ramadan security plan that included increased deployments, tighter control of public spaces during peak evening hours, and improved coordination with anti-migration and anti-narcotics authorities.
Authorities said the measures aim to maintain public order during Ramadan, when increased social activity and mobility require enhanced security in southern cities.
