Israel launches “preemptive strike” on Iran

A joint Israel-US operation has launched a sudden attack on Iran with several explosions heard in Tehran, reports Middle East Eye plus agencies on February 28th.

After several rounds of Iran-US negotiations, which did not reach a satisfying outcome for Donald Trump despite concessions from Iran, the United States-Israel alliance has now shifted to an aggressive position.

Israel has declared a state of emergency, with sirens heard across the country. Israeli Defence minister Israel Katz described the strikes as “preemptive.”
