Morocco will host a French trade mission from 31 March to 2 April as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties between Rabat and Paris, as reported by Atalayar and agencies on March 1st.

The visit is organised by Team France Export, in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI International). It will bring together companies from the Grand Est region of France for a series of meetings with their Moroccan counterparts.

Companies taking part in the mission specialise in energy, environmental services, infrastructure, construction and sustainable urban development.

The programme is designed to facilitate direct engagement with Moroccan customers, distributors and other stakeholders, while exploring new opportunities for cooperation.

Small and medium-sized businesses are also expected to benefit from the initiative, reflecting their significant role in trade and investment between the two countries, as well as Morocco’s wider efforts to support domestic enterprise.

The visit reflects Morocco’s growing role as a regional economic hub. In recent years, Morocco has expanded investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency, alongside major infrastructure projects.

French businesses participating in the mission are expected to showcase projects in areas such as water management, waste treatment, green mobility, sustainable construction and smart city solutions. These areas reflect Morocco’s current focus on strengthening its green energy sector and infrastructure.

Morocco’s geographic position and network of trade agreements were also highlighted as strategic advantages. Alongside the country’s stability, they reinforce Morocco’s role as a trade facilitator across Africa, strengthening its appeal to companies seeking to expand their interests across the continent.

This also comes as Morocco advances major national projects, including infrastructure upgrades and preparations linked to the 2030 FIFA World Cup. These developments form part of broader efforts to expand transport networks and modernise urban infrastructure.

The mission brings together Moroccan and French businesses in the energy and infrastructure sectors, reflecting continued economic engagement between Rabat and Paris.
