Reward offered for information on Benin coup suspects
Benin’s Republican Police have expanded a wanted notice and offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of those allegedly linked to the country’s December 2025 failed coup attempt, reports Africanews and agencies.
The notice was issued on 2 March and names 9 individuals sought in connection with the attempted takeover which aimed to overthrow President Patrice Talon and his government.
Among those listed is Lieutenant-Colonel Pascal Tigri, the former commander of an elite military unit. Beninese officials believe he is hiding in the capital of neighbouring Togo, Lome. Police have offered a cash reward of €30,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
