Morocco condemns Iranian strikes on Gulf states
Morocco condemned Iranian actions against Arab countries during an extraordinary meeting of the Arab League’s executive council in Cairo on 8 March, according to Moroccan government-friendly Yabiladi and agencies on March 8th.
The session addressed what the organisation described as Iranian aggressions that threaten the sovereignty and security of Gulf states. Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said the strikes violated the sovereignty and regional security of those countries.
Bourita’s statement reflects remarks made by King Mohammed VI during calls with Gulf leaders on February 28th. He also expressed Morocco’s solidarity with the affected states and said Rabat supports measures they may take to protect their security.
