Tunisian fugitive wanted by Interpol arrested at Casablanca airport
Moroccan police arrested a Tunisian fugitive wanted by Interpol at Mohammed V International Airport on 8 March after he arrived on a flight from Turkey, according to the Moroccan government-friendly Yabildai.
The suspect was detained during passport control after his identity appeared in Interpol’s database, which had circulated an international arrest notice at the request of Tunisian authorities.
According to Moroccan police, the man is wanted in Tunisia in connection with financial crimes and fraud and has been placed in custody pending extradition procedures requested by Tunisian authorities.
