Libya’s deepening human rights crisis exposed
Libyans are seeing their freedoms increasingly restricted human rights violations are not only being committed against migrants, but also against journalists and political dissidents.
As reported by Libya Gazette on 11 May, A report published on 17 February by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) described the situation faced by migrants and refugees in Libya as a system of “ruthless and systematic human rights violations and abuses.”

At the same time, repression inside Libya increasingly targets journalists, political opponents and civil society figures.
