Iran fires missiles at Israel for the first time since April

Tensions in the Middle East escalated once again as Iran fired missiles at northern Israel for the first time since the US-Israeli war on Iran reached a temporary truce in April, as reported by Maghrebi Week on June 15th.

On June 7th, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) confirmed that missile strikes were launched against northern Israel following Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon.

Israel claimed to have successfully intercepted the missiles; attacks against Israel’s Nevatim, near the Negev, and Tel Nof air bases were also launched, which Iran asserted was retaliation for Israeli strikes against Iranian radar installations.
