Burkinabese army accused of killing nearly 50 civilians

According to Maghrebi Week on the 10th of August, the Burkinabese armed forces have been accused of attacking civilians in retaliation for a terrorist ambush. The villages of  Alkoma and Sambonaye were targeted as the soldiers assimilated them with the Al Qaeda-affiliated JNIM. The attack took place in the morning as many villagers were farming on their land. Approximately 48 people were killed, with dozens wounded.
