Defence cooperation between the US and Morocco looks set to deepen as Moroccan military planes receive a full US avionics upgrade, as reported by Maghrebi Week on September 7th.

L3Harris, a US defence contractor, announced it is transforming the Royal Moroccan Air Force’s legacy C-130 fleet into modern, mission-ready assets. According to reports, the aircraft are undergoing maintenance and repairs at L3Harris’ facility in Texas.

This upgrade will extend the aircraft’s operational life by decades, while also delivering advanced digital capabilities at a significantly lower price than replacing the fleet.
