Former Italian prime minister Berlusconi passes away

Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, has passed away today, on June 12th. The self-proclaimed “Jesus Christ of politics” was known more in the Maghreb region for his flamboyancy and tumultuous sex scandal with Moroccan prostitute, Karima el-Mahroug, better known as “Ruby.” 

In 2013, Berlusconi was accused of having paid for sex with el-Mahroug while she was a teenager. Though both denied any sexual contact, a sex-for-hire trial occurred where both were eventually acquitted, according to CBS News.
