Israel’s PM Netanyahu blames FM for revealing Libyan meeting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pointed the finger at the country’s foreign affairs minister, blaming him for the setback in Israel’s relations with Libya.

On September 3, Netanyahu said in an interview on Cypriot TV station ANT1, Netanyahu commented, “It is evident that this hasn’t been helpful,” reports Asharq Al Awsat.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen had disclosed a meeting he convened with Najla al-Mangoush, the Libyan Foreign Minister, on August 26.

News of the meeting caused widespread protests in Libya.
