Algerian President demands the ICC holds Israel to account

Algeria’s Palestine-supporting President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to take action against Israel as the state continues to flout international law, reports Middle East Monitor.

Tebboune has spoken out on multiple occasions regarding the long-lasting mistreatment of Palestinians, particularly in the blockaded Gaza, by the Israeli state. 

Regarding the issue, he notably stated, “Where is humanity? And where is the global conscience that has become absent regarding the genocide being committed?”.
