Polio vaccination coverage in Gaza has reached 90 percent, the chief of the United Nations Palestinian refugee agency, Philippe Lazzarini, said on September 16th, as reported by Reuters via Arab News.

The focus now is on ensuring that hundreds of thousands of children receive a second dose by the end of the month.

Lazzarini noted that conflict parties have generally honored the necessary “humanitarian pauses,” demonstrating that with political will, aid can be delivered without interruption.
