Lebanese Red Cross paramedics killed in Israeli strike

The Lebanese Red Cross has lost four paramedics in an Israeli strike, according to Asharq Al-Awsat and agencies on October 3rd.

The strike hit Lebanon during an evacuation operation in the south, near the village of Taybeh.

The year-long conflict on the Lebanese-Israeli border has now killed nearly 1,900 people and injured more than 9,000, most of them in recent attacks.

Moreover, a fifth of Lebanon’s population has been forced to flee the country, leaving Lebanon to face its worst displacement crisis in history -the number of displaced now amounts to a million.

Countries like Turkey and Spain are currently working towards rescuing their citizens from the war zones.

Furthermore, Israel has recently threatened a potential expansion of the assault into southern Lebanon, ordering the evacuation of villages and towns situated along the UN-imposed buffer zone.
