Morocco: Military accords signed with Czechia and Azerbaijan
Morocco has signed two military and technical cooperation agreements with Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic during an air show in Marrakech, according to the MiddleEastMonitor.
The agreements, which were signed on October 30th, cover training, defence, technical support, military health, and cybersecurity.
In attendance was Morocco’s Minister Delegate for National Defence Abdeltif Loudyi, Commander of the Southern Zone Mohammed Berrid and the Czech and Azerbaijani Defence Ministers.
On October 31st , the X account for the Marrakech Airshow 2024 posted: “Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the inaugural session of the 7th edition of the Marrakech Air Show 2024 took place yesterday at the Marrakech Royal Moroccan Air Force Base, under the theme Excellence and Innovation.”
“This session was an opportunity to share the Kingdom’s trajectory in the aerospace sector under the enlightened vision of His Majesty.”

Czech Defence Minister Jana Cernochova said they discussed defence and industrial cooperation, opportunities for the Czech arms industry, and the security situation in the region and in the world.
She added: “Morocco is a key Maghreb country that is a guarantor of the region’s stability and is very interested in the development of our mutual relations.”
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense reported conversations on the progress of military and military-technical relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
A Moroccan statement said both Czech and Azerbaijani ministers praised Rabat’s economic and social development.
According to the press release, they described the kingdom as a “dynamic player and a haven of stability and peace for its Euro-Mediterranean and African neighborhood.”
