Morocco’s population grew to 36.8 million in 2024

The population of Morocco grew to 36.82 million by September 2024, according to the Arab News via Reuters. The information, which comes from the preliminary results of a national census, was stated by a government spokesman on November 7th.
Compared to the most recent census a decade ago, Morocco’s population grew by 2.98 million or 8.8%, Mustapha Baitas told reporters.
The number of households grew to 9.27 million by this September, up 26.8% compared to 2024, while the number of foreigners living in Morocco had gone up to 148,152, up 71.8%, he added
