Hamas and Fatah agree on joint committee to run Gaza after war
The Palestinian groups Hamas and Fatah have agreed to create a committee to jointly administer post-war Gaza, negotiators from both sides said on December 3rd according to the Arab News via AFP.
A draft of the plan seen by AFP, which needs the approval of Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, the committee would be composed of 10 to 15 non-partisan figures with authority on matters relating to the economy, education, health, humanitarian aid and reconstruction.
This follows talks in recent days between the two factions in Cairo.
