Morocco: Five Israeli tourists die in car crash
Five Israeli tourists have died following a tragic car crash on a remote road in south eastern Morocco on December 6th, according to TheNewArab.
The vehicle reportedly veered of a rugged stretch of road connecting the Zagora and Tinghir provinces, overturning at high speed and instantly killing all five passengers inside.
The tourists were on their way to visit the grave of Rabbi Yahya Ben Baruch, a revered figure in Moroccan Jewish history.
On December 8th, the Jewish community in Morocco held an intimate funeral for the victims, which Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto, an important leader in the Jewish Moroccan community, described as “deeply emotional.”
