Formally established in 1981, the Gulf Cooperation Council is a partnership between Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Al-Budaiwi praised Moroccan King Mohammed VI’s strong commitment to cooperation with the Gulf region.
He repeated GCC’s recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the contested Western Sahara region, a key issue for the North African kingdom.
