Kaouther Ben Hania: The Tunisian that made history in 2024

Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania made history in January 2024 by becoming the first Arab women to ever have two Oscar nominations, according to ArabNews on December 28th.
Kaouther Ben Hania’s film “Four Daughters” was shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature Film at the prestigious Academy Awards.
The documentary tells the true story of a Tunisian mother whose two eldest daughters were radicalised by the Islamic State group.
