Knesset considers lessening aid to Gaza after Trump comes into office
The Knesset is considering to lower its humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip, days before Donald Trump will be inaugurated in the US, according to Israeli media.
A source said to Israel’s Channel 12 on January 3rd that this decision by the Knesset would be made in coordination with the incoming US government, The New Arab reports.
The source said: “It is highly doubtful whether the amount of aid being brought into Gaza today will be similar to the amount that will come in under the Trump administration.”
“So far, Israel has determined aid according to the commitment made to President Joe Biden, but this may change in the coming weeks, after Trump returns to the White House on January 20th.”
