Mozambique: Opposition leader to return amid violent protests
Mozambique’s opposition leader Venancio Mondlane says he will return home from exile on January 9th, according to the BBC.
Mondlane has been whipping up protests for months after leaving Mozambique in October, citing fears for his life in the post-election fallout.
His rejection of the election result which put him as runner-up, sparked violent protests which have continued ever since.
