Sudan army leader backs Turkish effort for peace
The chief of Sudan’s army has praised a Turkish offer to resolve the conflict between his forces and the RSF militia they have been fighting, according to Africa News.
Abdel Fattah Al Burhan asked Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister in a meeting in Port Sudan on January 5th to convey to Turkish leadership that they welcome the initiative from Turkish president Erdogan’s.
The United Arab Emirates praised Turkey’s “diplomatic efforts” aimed at “resolving the ongoing crisis in Sudan” in a statement last week.
