French military withdrawal from Chad continues

The withdrawal of French forces has continued in Chad, with a French military base in Abéché set to be handed over on January 11th according to Africa News.
French military equipment has been gradually removed over the last few days, with the official ceremony is scheduled for the 11th.
This follows Chad’s decision to terminate defence and security cooperation agreements with Paris on November 28th, which saw France promptly begin withdrawing its forces from the country.
